I am currently Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Nottingham's School of Economics. I am also a Research Affiliate at the CEPR and an external research associate at CAGE. 

My research interests are:  Development Economics, Economic History, Gender, and Political Economy.

I am particularly interested in institutional and cultural long-term determinants of  inequalities.
